Sati School of Thai Yoga Massage
At Sati, we share the philosophy that the beauty and effectiveness of healing touch lie within the detail of technique and the mindfulness and exploration of oneself.
As you develop technical proficiency, you’ll discover that each movement, each touch, becomes a gateway into deeper awareness and presence. Our students consistently share how this path transforms not only their professional practice but their entire approach to life, human connection and healing.
We are all at different stages in our learning and we strive to meet each individual students needs in this most incredible of journeys. We keep our class sizes small to achieve this.

The foundation of our teaching is exploring how we find our integrity whilst supporting another.

This involves:
- Innate awareness of posture.
- How to transfer bodyweight, reducing effort and tension.
- Moving from the Hara (centre) with the breath.
- Learning how to develop confidence in our intuition.
- Being gentle with ourselves and then sharing that with another.

We offer courses at all levels of practice. Whether you are beginning your path in healing arts or seeking to deepen your existing practice, our comprehensive training provides the space, guidance and community to support your growth.
We would love for you to join us in exploring this remarkable healing tradition, where each lesson becomes a step forward to both professional mastery and personal awakening.

Dave Hoyle
My greatest passion has become sharing this most incredible of journeys. Learning how to share the joy of touch, supporting each other and discovering what it is to be human within embodied connection.
Practicing Thai Yoga Massage is not only an incredible modality that brings the profoundest of deep healing. It also reveals such an accessible portal to our own embodiment and awakening. Connecting ever deeper with ourselves, realising and becoming present with our own alignment and then integrating into all aspects of our being. This is the gift that this unique healing dance continues to bestow upon both giver and receiver.

Dave’s journey with Thai Massage began 24 years ago, drawn by the natural connection between Tai Chi, Taoist internal arts and Yoga.
His teaching draws from his extensive background in movement arts and healing traditions, deepened by years of diverse study and practice. His five-year immersion in Waldorf Movement Studies and ten years experience as a Steiner School movement and gymnastics teacher have also given him valuable insight into body mechanics, spatial dynamics and human development.
As a qualified yoga teacher with a focus on restorative practices, a certified Qigong instructor and ongoing osteopathic studies, Dave integrates Eastern and Western healing philosophies to create a supportive and comprehensive learning environment.
His movement practice draws primarily from Tai Chi and Qigong structural and energetic principles, which greatly informs his approach to bodywork and teaching.
